Toronto: Rose-Belford Publishing Company, 1878. Hardcover. Good. 8vo. Pp. vi, 375, [8] ads. Publisher's purple cloth with gilt lettering to front board and spine. Board corners a little worn/rubbed, wear to head and foot of spine, spine faded with fading around board edges and faint stains to the front board. Book is cocked, light foxing to the preliminary pages but the text is clean and the binding is sound. With four illustrations in black and white, including the frontis, the other three illustrations are placed incorreclty but are present. First Canadian edition.
