Smaller, sturdy book, quality dark gray cloth, gilt title bright at top front, gilt lettering near-bright on spine, 204 pages. Signed in black ink on half-title page "Archibald MacLeish." DJ beneath mylar, bars of light and dark gray in background on front and spine, yellow lettering very fine, a b/w photo portrait of poet in white borders on back. Essays on Emily Dickinson, W.B. Yeats, John Keats, and Rimbaud. DJ has tears and scratches at top front, light surface wear to bottom front tip, very slight surface wear at spine top. Good DJ/Fine book.
