A highly decorative edition of the works of Sir Walter Scott, illustrated throughout and presented in a detailed Bickers binding. In a full calf Bickers binding, with gilt detail to the boards and spine. Royal octavo. With an engraved title page, twenty four engraved plates, a folding facsimile plate and many vignette illustrations. Tissue guards have been discarded. A comprehensive edition of Scott's poetical works, containing notes by J. G. Lockhart and a number of works not previously printed in earlier editions. In a calf binding by Bickers. Externally generally smart with rubbing to the boards and extremities, resulting in some loss to the leather. The odd mark to the board. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with just the odd spot. Very Good
