Good. 510 p., clean and unmarked except for name of former owner on front end page dated April 16, 1904, and her book plate on front paste down; pages neatly opened; frontis. engraving of the author suitable for framing and already detaching; front gutter fine but back gutter beginning to crack--nonetheless this elegant volume is firm and square; despite absence of d.j. dark blue boards are unfaded and gilt lettering and stamped image of author with holograph of his signature on front board are still bright; slight rubbing at crown of spine and on back board; light bumping of corners.
