Gilt tooled raised bands. Marbled endsheets. t.e.g. 8vo. 5.5" x 8.5". A New Edition with numerous additions and notes by John Wilson Croaker. Illustrated with an engraved Frontis to each volume. This is the last Library Edition of Croaker's Boswell. Spines evenly attractively sunned. A Very Fine, pristine set in a stupendous binding.

Slightly darkened around the edges, lightly rubbed on the spine and a tiny bump on the top corner of the front board. Illustrations by Gilbert Spencer. Publisher series: Ariel Poems 18. Slim 8vo. 36pp. A touch of wear to two or three extremities. Some production fault creasing to two text leaves. A very good copy. No dust wrapper. Bloomfield (2002) notes: "White laid paper watermarked: 'I Batchelor & Sons Ltd | HAND MADE'. Copies are also found with paper watermarked: '[crown] | Glastonbury' and with mixtures of both. London: Elkin Mathews, 1913. First collected edition. 52, 64, [4] pp. Brown paper boards lettered in gold on the front cover and spine. Gallup notes that "not more than 500 copies issued." The book consists of first edition sheets of the two earlier books with a new half-title and title-leaf for the volume. Rebacked with original spine laid down, nick to top edge of rear board skillfully and professionally repaired. A scarce early Pound volume. Gallup A7b.

Complete with all 27 illustrations: Six full-page colored plates, Eleven full-page B&W woodblock plates, and Ten B&W woodblock prints within the text. The text is flawless, no inscriptions, spotting, or tears, and is clean, bright and tight. The bindings have no wear or damage and all of the edges are in bright gilt. This is a pristine copy in a very attractive Fine binding by Bayntun of Bath.

Several joints starting but all covers are firmly attatched. Several head pieces lacking. Several tiny insect holes to spine label of volume 1. Several plates lightly toned with one or two folding wrinkles. Map presents toning and marginal folding and one tear to lower quadrant.A Very Good, highly decorative eighteenth century set of this very desireable printing.Featured Sets.

Inscriptions have been bleached from the half-title and title pages. The bump at top-edge of front board is stained black. Volume is also gently bumped at bottom-edge of rear board and at spine extremities. Clean text. Quite scarce in the dust jacket, which is sunned at spine and edgeworn with sporadic chips. Very good.

This verse drama deals with a family's quarrel over the naming of a son, Shenandoah Fish, which is obviously analogous Schwartz's name, about which he was quite sensitive. Inscribed to the poet Theodore Morrison. "Ted, from Delmore, October 1941." Illustrated by Frederico Castellon. Printed by George Hornby at The Domesday Press, New York City. 28 pp. 8vo., plain paper wrappers, wire saddle stitch. In a dark blue dust jacket, illustrated on the upper wrapper in grey-blue. Internally clean and fine; however, the dust jacket is sunned at perimeters and on the lower panel, with some light edgewear. Inscribed copies by Schwartz are uncommon, and this is a very good copy, inscribed by him.

This is copy no. 16. The lino blocks were cut by A. Sarrès from original drawings by the author. The cover wrap is toned and soiled with a vertical tear to the tail of the spine. An English painter of Irish and Hungarian descent Rakoczi was one of the White Stag painters in Dublin in the interwar years.
