A deluxe, full leather edition presenting a comprehensive collection of the principal poems and dramatic works of Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-1892). With tissue-guarded frontis sepia-toned portrait of Tennyson and an engraved title page illustration of Farringford, Tennyson's home on the Isle of Wight. Edited, with biographical sketch of Tennyson by W. J. Rolfe. An entry in publisher's Cambridge Edition of the Poets series, edited by Horace E. Scudder. --- Bound in full dark red leather, with gilt decorations to outside & inside edges of covers, gilt-stamped spine titling & decorations and five raised spine bands. AEG (all edges in bright gilt) with grey/blue/red marbled endpapers. --- With slight darkening to spine and faint dark markings to leather, otherwise an exceptionally well-preserved copy: bright, tightly-bound and lacking additional damages.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; xvii, 887 pages .
