Paris: A. Quantin Imprimeur Editeur, 1879. First Edition. . Half-Leather. Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 8" tall hardback with corners and spine of leather. Boards are blue and beige pattern. Gold gilt decorations and print on spine. 5 raised bands on spine. Printed on spine: "Poesies De A. Prion" and at the bottom "Paris 1879" Minor bumping with light fraying at the ends of the spine and corners. Minor rubbing, scuffing, shelf wear to boards. Boards in Very Good condition. Paisley swirl endpages. Gift inscription on backside of Frontispiece. Pages are tight; clean/unmarked. 245 pages. The interior pages are in Fine or better condition. From the title page: "POESIES CHOISIES ST PIECES INEDITES DE ALEXIS PIRON Avec une Notice bio-bibliographique Par HONORE BONHOMME Paris A. Quantin Imprimeur Editeur 7, Rue Saint-Benoit 1879" I am saying this is a First Editon because the only print info stated is "1879" on the title page. Text of this book is in French. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
