London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1895. First Edition. Near Fine. First edition, first printing; one of 750 copies. First state of the American issue, with both the American and UK publisher's imprints at the base of the spine, but retaining the UK title page only listing T. Fisher Unwin. Bound in publisher's buff cloth, with elaborate gilt design by H. Granville Fell. Near Fine, with slight darkening to spine, light softening at spine ends, light rubbing at tips. Previous owner bookplate to front paste down and small area of abrasion to front free end paper. A stunning copy.
