Blue ingres paper covered boards with oatmeal colour linen spine, with matching blue ingres paper-covered slipcase. Condition: Fine, with a few small dots of foxing to lower corner of front endpaper. The slipcase itself is in good condition with sunning to all edges and both front and rear of she slipcase. One of a limited edition of 200 copies signed by both author and artist, this is copy no.31. Unpaginated. Two copper engravings by Charles Marq (1923-2006) (including frontispiece). A prospectus for the book is loosely inserted. This limited edition of Poems by Walter Strachan is largely gathered from two earlier sources: The Seasons Pause and Moments of Time. The copper engravings by the French artist Charles Marq were commissioned by way of a tribute to Strachan's long-standing connection with the "livre d'artiste". They are among the artist's first line engravings. The book was edited an published by Christopher Hewett and printed by Christopher Skelton..
