The first edition. In the publisher's full cloth binding with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Rex Warner's first book of poetry, featuring popular poems such as 'Nile Fisherman' and 'Storm and War'. Rex Warner was an English classicist, writer and translator best remembered for his works, 'The Aerodrome' and 'The Wild Goose Chase'. With the previous owner's ink inscription to the front free endpaper, dated 1937. In the publisher's full cloth binding. Externally, smart with fading to the edges. Shelf wear to the extremities. Contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper. The original unclipped dust wrapper is in smart condition. Some shelf wear to the edges and darkening to the panels. A few handling marks to the panels. The dust wrapper has been repaired with tape to the inside. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with some age-toning and the occasional small mark and crease. A few light spots towards the front and rear. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
