Hardcover. Fair. Good on the outside, good inside, with NYT? announcement of collected Scribner ed. at back endpapers tipped in, resultant browning. Several critical notices e.g. Douglas on "Hound of Heaven" written in margins in an elegant hand; also additonal F T poems not included in this edition, also in cursive in pen. At front blanks, a black and white portrait of F T and article: 1907 Letters and Art Section entitled "A POET REDEEMED" is the story of Francis Thompson, "a poet whose tragic story almost equals that of Chatterton" ( American News Magazine 1907). Spine ends bumped, loss at spine tips Edgewear, brown cloth, bright gilt circles within circles design; Internally Good, 1904 1st ed. thus, STATED 7th ed. 500 copies, February 1904.
