Baltimore, Maryland: F. Lucas, 1815. Hardcover. Good. 32mo - over 4" - 5" tall. Published with woodcuts, being of the author at frontis and another at p. 286; bound in at rear is a short review item, "Highland Mary's Bibles," and a poem invoking Robert Burns by John Greenleaf Whittier. Rebound in 32mo format, vellum over boards, leather over tips and spine, with burgundy leather label saying "Burns Poems" over spine. Chipping to, soiling of first signature, some light foxing thereafter, but still remarkably tightly bound an, bright, clean and unmarked. First signature pulled but present. Second title page avers, "Poems formerly published, with some additions, to which is added, A History of these Poems," by Gilbert Burns, and poetry hitherto unpublished or uncollected. xvi + 325 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
