Melbourne: Georgian House. 1945. Octavo Size [approx 15.5 x 22.8cm]. Very Good condition in Good Dustjacket. DJ is marked and overall a little grubby with a couple of chips & is now protected in purpose-made clear archival plastic sleeve. Previous owner's details to front free end paper. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 121 pages. Ian Mudie, born in Adelaide in 1911, has a career in writing interupted by intervals working as a farmhand and insurance salesman. As a youth he spent time "carrying the swag". His poetry has won awards including [for "The Australian Dream"] the W.J. Miles Memorial Prize in 1943. The Australian Dream was been performed by the Therry Society, Melbourne. This collection contains: Corroboree to the Sun, This is Australia, Their Seven Stars Unseen, The Australian Dream, Unabated Spring. . 1st thus. Hardback.
