Colour illustrated frontispiece, by Jack Harman, who also drew the six black-and-white illustrations within the text. Dull red coloured boards with black coloured illustration of a rearing horse with a young man on board to the front panel. With black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, by Jack Harman, with blue and red coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. A Pocomoto adventure, this time going over the old Indian Trails searching for evidence of previous indigenous inhabitants. This adventure is especially relevant for Lance, as he is now known to be the grandson of a famous Indian War chief. Minor bumping to the lower backstrip edge and rubbing to the book corners. Browning and foxing to the text block edge. Browning, offset tanning and foxing to the endpapers and age toning to the internal text. Foxing to the first few and last few pages of the book. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the backstrip edges. Rubbing and creasing to the other dustwrapper edges and rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. There is a 0.5 " and a 0.25" tear to the lower edge of the rear dustwrapper panel and a 0.25 " tear to the top edge of the same panel. There is a few small holes to the left-hand spine gutter edge, 2.5 " from the top edge. The remains and removal of a sticker can be seen to the top right-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. VIII, 208 pages, last two pages blank,. Dust Jacket price-clipped.
