About This Item
Boston: National Tube Works Co, 1891. Cloth. Very Good +. A tight, crisp copy of this 1891 pocket companion --filled with impressive engarvings-- of the National Tube Works Co., whose massive plant in McKeesport, PA (with accompanying frontispiece engraving) manufactured "wrought-iron welded steam, gas and water pipe, plain, galvanized and enameled standard boiler tubes, semi-steel locomotive boiler tubes, hydraulic tubes, artisan, salt and oil wellcasing, tubing, drive and line pipe", etc. Solid and VG+ to Near Fine in its brown cloth, with bright gilt-titling along the front panel. Just a touch of light scuffing to the panels, small, neat former owner name and address at the 2nd blank flyleaf. 16mo, light, portable late 19th century "book of industry standards"
