Hickman and Hazzard, 1822. Hardcover. Good. Volume 1 only. Stated on title page - "A NEW EDITION". Full burl leather - front cover detached. Blank front end-papers have Copperplate signatures, one dated 1863. Title page has a 3" x 1" chip across top margin (probably a removed name - see photo). Frontispiece of Plutarch lacking tissue guard. Essays on Romulus; Theseus; Caillus; Pericles and many others. Moderate + foxing throughout. Rear leather board heavily worn at edges, with spine crown and foot chipped and frayed. Gilt spine title still bright.
