New York: Hurst & Co. Translated from the Greek by John Dryden and Others. The Whole Carefully Revised and Corrected to which is Prefixed 'A Life of Plutarch.' Reprinted from the Latest English Editions. "This translation of the lives here presented is that known as Dryden's ; because a life of Plutarch from his hand was originally published with it, at the end of the seventeenth century, and is a reprint of the text as it appears in the edition in five volumes, published in 1859 by Little, Brown & Co." No publishing date, but appears to be from late 19th century. 925 pp. Brown cloth covers with gilt title box on spine. Cover corners are bumped and rubbed to boards, edges rubbed with some bumps, wear and marks to cover faces, areas on joints are rubbed, spine ends are bent and starting to fray. Small red ink mark on front inside cover. Previous owner's name written on front free endpaper. Small Breaks to both hinges. Interior pages are browning along edges, some small foxing spots. Spine tight. Book in Good+ condition.. Reprinted. Cloth. Good+. Size: Approx. 5 " x 7 1/2". Philosophy.
