About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1932. First Edition ?. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Copyright page states only: c. 1932, by May Christie. May be First Edition, but I believe Grosset & Dunlap were primarily reprinters. IF this is not so, this would be true First Edition. Hardcover, no DJ. Bright orange covers show only very light soil, bit of corner softness, v. light & thin vert. stain on back (almost missed it)- all of above very minor. Black lettering on front & spine crisp & intact. Top edge of text block bright green (not washed out or faded). Just a hint of spine tilt. Overall, copy displays extremely well. Missing blank front free endpaper- text starts w/ half- title page. Text & endpapers remarkably bright- only a trace of toning; tight, clean, unmarked. NO hinge splits, NOT ex library. Very well- preserved copy. ***Reliable, fast! (66)
