New York/London: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1934.. 1934.. Very good. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED WITH HIS INITIALS BY WARREN FITE - Octavo, navy blue cloth with printed labels on the front cover & spine. The binding is lightly rubbed with the spine & the bottom edge of the front cover a bit faded. [ix] & 331 pages. There is a crease to the front endpaper. Very good. <p>First edition.<p>Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper and signed "W. F."<p>Warren Fite was an educator, philosopher and author. For twenty-five years he was Stuart Professor of Ethics in the Princeton University Philosophy Department. He belonged to no one school of philosophy and taught in the spirit of his book "Individualism" [1911]. He was a friend of Italian philosopher Benedette Croce, and of Spanish philosopher Miguel de Unamuno, whose novel "Mist" he translated in 1928.
