About This Item
Oxford University Press , 1939. Very Good/Unclipped. First ed.; 422 p., clean and unmarked anywhere on fine paper only mildly age-toned--a little more tanning in front and rear gutters; binding firm; unfaded red boards with still bright gilt lettering have light bumping on corners and very slight rubbing at crown and foot of spine. The pale blue d.j. with red lettering and OUP colophon is sunned on the spine and edges and has some chipping at upper edges. Interesting speculation on how Plato would have viewed Europe just before WWII.
