American Book Company, New York; Cincinnati; Chicago: (1864)., 1864 Twenty-Eight Plates with 132 Figures drawn by Oliver J. Stuart. Early inked ownership of H.H. Forney, 64 King Ave, Columbus, O. 4to. Original leather spine over cloth boards. Gilt lettered front board. Extremities worn. Hardbound. Very good copy. Albert E. Church (1807-1878) graduated at the United States Military Academy, West Point, in 1828, and was commissioned second lieutenant in the 3d regiment of artillery. He served as a professor of mathematics at West Point off and on from 1828 to his death fifty years later. The early owner was probably a relative of John W.
