A novel of the small town rural life of the Canadian prairies in the early 20th century, written after the author had lived there for sixteen years. The dedication reads, "The story of an Agricultural Country is the story of its small towns - To these, and to all those who dwell therein, this book is humbly dedicated." Presumed first edition. In Good condition, with some age related wear and staining to cover and pages, though the text is entirely legible. Some mild foxing to the rough cut pages. Previous owner's signature on title page.
