About This Item

London : Anthony Blond, (1970). First edition. "In the sixth novel in the 'Alms for Oblivion' sequence, Lancaster College, Cambridge, has had a windfall of about a quarter of a million pounds from the sale of farms in Lincolnshire, and there are strongly divergent views on how the money should be spent" (Nottingham Guardian, 4th March 1970). Post 8vo (21cm). 224pp. Original green boards, blocked and lettered in silver; a sliver of sunning at tips; mild tanning of endpapers; a handful of spots, but a very good copy in the Oliver Elmes dust-jacket - the jacket with a couple of unobtrusive short nicks, but otherwise also very good.
