The young man, John, is a restless and ambitious youth, and he dreams of becoming a gunsmith like his father. When John's father dies, he is left to run the family business on his own. John becomes skilled at crafting firearms, but he is also drawn to the excitement and danger of the Old West. One day, John is approached by a man named Ned, who tells him that he has heard of a great opportunity to make money in the West.
