Sunned spine which, nevertheless, remains bright and rich-colored; one small scuff in one of the floral compartments. ; 3/4 leather - dark brown covers with gilt borders; and rich tan, sunned spine with raised bands and gilt floral and bordered compartments and lettering. Marbled endpapers. Frontispiece with tissue guard depicting whimsical characters, and Source and Mouth of the Thames, and First and Last Bridge over the Thames. Center character appears in some of the 23 illustrations. An extremely attractive copy, beautifully bound by Bayton. ; Etchings; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 375 pages .
