Binding is embossed full leather with gilt, some wear to corners, small chip ( 1/4" x 1/2" ) missing from bottom of spine otherwise attractive. Interior is clean with one small ink correction on page 152. Hundreds of biographies of personalities, with photos of individuals and buildings. Scarce in the original 1893 edition.
