A good+ copy of this scarce scientific investigation of the divining rod. In 1940, Maby and Franklin's book was reviewed in Nature. While the reviewer acknowledged that their empirical investigations were much needed, he cast doubt both on their methodological rigour and, hence, their overarching argument that divining results from some form of radiation.
