About This Item
Photographic Image. Very Good. Hardcover. 1949-1956. --'FRED CARR'S MOVING & TRUCKING CO.' PHOTO/SCRAPBOOK-- (48) SNAPSHOTS/ inscriptions/ advertisements/ cards/ company papers, reports, letterheads+++. 'Carr's Ohio Moving & Trucking Company' Photo album/Scrapbook tells a great story of a Midwest entrepreneur after WW2 in photos, business ephemera, news stories and advertising. Photos and ephemera from Carr's "77 Pick Up and Delivery Service" shows the Middletown, Ohio company's progress from its opening days. Originally named 'Carr's Moving and Storage' (a caption shows Fred Carr bought a building to sell new & used furniture), Carr eventually became a franchisee of North American Van Lines. This scrapbook's documentation ends in 1956, with no mention of what happened thereafter. 1949-1956 Photo Album/Scrapbook - post & string bound, clean and tight, measures 10" x 13". Most pages repaired at post-holes; front edges left in their found state. Rear-board has been repaired. Presents very nicely- attractive cover, white-ink inscriptions, advertising ephemera..
