[Peterboro, N.Y.?, 1840. 3" x 9", silk tan ribbon with black print, illustrated with soldier and others hailing an American flag beneath the words 'Constitution & Laws'. In background is a domed building on top of a hill with 'Liberty' on dome; ribbon at head of illustration reads 'E. Pluribus Unum'. Light fraying of top and bottom edges, very short horizontal slit at left edge of ribbon, closed tear along old crease at bottom of ribbon [no text involvement]. Light wear, Very Good. A ribbon for the New York State Whig Convention of 1840.
