Blue cloth boards; bumped corners; wear round edges; spine faded at lower end and top; author, title & pbl in gilt on spine; small gilt embossed illustration of Peter Pan on front. Cut edges grubby. Endpapers slightly grubby; 2cm tear to bottom of front hinge; owner's book plate on ffep; shop label on fpdep. Text block tight; pages gen clean with only occasional marks. Numerous b/w illustrations. Well worn & torn pictorial dust jacket is unclipped & protected by a plastic sleeve; preamble on front flap & list of other Peter Pan books on back.
Synopsis
Peter Pan is the boy who refuses to grow up. He teaches Wendy and her younger brothers how to fly. Then it's off to magical Neverneverland and the Lost Boys, in this Barrie children's classic. The story of Peter Pan is a deeper read than the films and various other tales told from this original text.

Clevedon Community Bookshop, co-operatively owned, opened on 31 December 2011 and now has a general stock of approximately 20,000 books. Our bookshop in Copse Road is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00am to 4.00pm. The co-operative comprises just over 600 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town.
