New York: The Macmillan Company, 1906. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Octavos, 2 Volumes. In Good plus condition. Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering on spines and gilt stamped face on front covers. Head edge of textblock gilt. Boards show fraying to spine edges, bumping and rubbing to corners, and mild edge wear and shelf wear. Volume II has black stains on spine. Textblocks have light age toning. Has bookplates on front pastedown and endpaper identifying it as the former property of David A. Robertson and Anne Knobel Robertson. There is also a hand-written note by David A. Robertson detailing why the book was important to himself and his wife. Shelved Case 0

SC Consignment. Formerly belonged to David A. Robertson and Anne Knobel Robertson. David A Robertson was President of Goucher College from 1930 to 1948. After his wife Anne passed away from injuries from a car crash in 1942, he and several friends donated books in her name to Goucher. These Books are identified with an "A.K.R" bookplate and a hand-written note from Robertson. 1371682. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
