Gilt stamped titles and 4-star shoulder patches on the spines. Volume 1 front and rear hinges have been repaired. Right front end sheet and rear end sheet chipped on edges volume 1. Minor dulling to spine volume 1. Gilt illustration of Sheridan on front cover of volume 2 is slightly faded in the center. Light edge wear to the cloth bindings.

Clean texts; Volume One is 500 pages, with a frontis portrait; Volume Two is xi, 486 pages. Indexed, and with a frontis portrait. Marbled endpapers. Owner signature on the second FEP and bookplate on the front paste-down; signature also in Volume Two. Unfortunately, these books have been ill-treated in some way, with the result that the covers, while present, have been detached. Please note the condition issues. Quercus must offer these books as Binding Copies, in need of restoration or repair.
