New York: Charles L. Webster & Company, 1888. These are Good only copies of Sheridan's memoirs. Full sheep leather binding; ruled and titled in gilt on the spine within red and black compartments. Clean texts; Volume One is 500 pages, with a frontis portrait; Volume Two is xi, 486 pages. Indexed, and with a frontis portrait. Marbled endpapers. Owner signature on the second FEP and bookplate on the front paste-down; signature also in Volume Two. Unfortunately, these books have been ill-treated in some way, with the result that the covers, while present, have been detached. Please note the condition issues. Quercus must offer these books as Binding Copies, in need of restoration or repair. Quercus offers that these are excellent candidates for a quality rebind, so the may be enjoyed for another few hundred years.. First Edition. Full-Leather. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
