New York: Charles L. Webster & Company, 1888. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair. Octavo. 2 volumes: xiv, 500 pages; xii, 486 pages. Steel engraved frontispiece portraits of Sheridan in each volume. Illustrated with sketched portraits, facsimiles and maps. Green cloth hardcovers with gilt titles and gilt illustrations on the front covers. Gilt stamped titles and 4-star shoulder patches on the spines. Volume 1 front and rear hinges have been repaired. Right front end sheet and rear end sheet chipped on edges volume 1. Minor dulling to spine volume 1. Gilt illustration of Sheridan on front cover of volume 2 is slightly faded in the center. Light edge wear to the cloth bindings.
