New York: New Directions, 1949. Very Good/No dustjacket. New York: New Directions, [1949]. First New Directions Edition, First Impression. (3200 copies printed). Octavo (8.75" x 5.5"); 273p. Frontis plate and one full page interior illustration [Gallup lists three plates, but I'm not seeing evidence here of one removed]. Missing dustjacket. First impression in light blue cloth with gilt lettering. Covers toned along edges with light bumps to corners and nudging to spine ends, along with some stray scuffs and darkening to spine. Previous owner's name on front pastedown, else pages unmarked. A new printing following the 1926 Boni & Liveright edition, with new poems added in two appendices. A later impression was issued in darker blue. [Gallup A27b].
