Illustrated with monochrome photographs, adverts and family trees throughout. Pictorial card wraps with white titles. Very minor water damage to upper corner of wraps and page block, otherwise a clean, bright copy; Very Good condition. One of two publications which collectively record histories of retail Co-operative Societies in the North of England. The roots of the Cumbrian Co-operative Society go back to the nineteenth century and 29 individual societies, which are chronicled in this volume.
