Bibliophile Society/Privately Printed, 1914. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. FIRST Edition thus. Privately printed issue for the Bibliophile Society. Field wrote these poems for his childhood Missouri friend, William Buskett. Original brown paper book boards, with 3/4 white parchment/vellum (spine vellum is chipped). Book boards with gilt title to front cover. Spine vellum has pulled away a bit - but is complete. Corners are gently worn. Interior excellent. Beautiful deckled fore-edge. A slim, very special volume of poetry. Clean and tight, no markings. Great Copy. Lacks slipcase. Protected in an archival slip.
