Precedes the first trade edition. Includes an introductory "special message for the first edition" by Singer and illustration, "The Wailing Wall," by Herbert Tauss not in the Farrar Straus trade edition. Full gilt-decorated leather boards with raised spine bands, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, and ribbon place marker. Fine. Publisher's promo letter laid in.
