Disbound magazine, center pages detached, slight wave to upper left corner; overall very good condition. The first "Topic of the Week" listed is "The Barbarian Danger: Details of the frightful tragedy at Peking are not yet to hand..." However on page 83 an article by Charles Lowe has subtitles: the Massacre of Peking, China for the chinese, International Forces and The Fighting at Tientsin. Six pages relating to events and daily life in China. There follows five pages "In the Land of the Yellow Dragon" with images and information on life in China, including an article by Archibald Colquhoun entitled "Street Life in Peking." Interesting, but not encouraging, insight into the European view of things Chinese. .
