London: Chapman & Hall, 1892. 2nd Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. SECOND EDITION 1892. Original tan cloth, gilt lettering spine, black & red pattern decorations front cover, dark brown coated EPs. Inside hinges repaired with archival tissue tape, spine gilt mostly gone, slight age browning to pages, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, solid binding, some small splitting of cloth at spine ends, no foxing, complete with all illustrations and pages. The book measures 235mm tall x 145mm, and has 365 pages, 15 plates of b/w illustrations, map. Author's trip: Pekin, Gobi Desert, Lake Baikal, Kansk, Tomsk, Tobolsk, Perm, Moscow, Vienna. The first 163 pages describe Peking and the trip through the Gobi Desert.PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
