About This Item

Norfolk, Connecticut: The Easton Press, 2001. [2001] FIRST EDITION, FULL LEATHER FINE HARDCOVER SIGNED BY SUMNER REDSTONE. Black genuine hardcover features beautiful gilt designs and gilt lettering, limited edition, 322 pages. THIS IS THE FULL LEATHER BINDING BY EASTON PRESS -- NOT A CHEAP COMPOSITE LEATHER OR THE CLOTH TRADE EDITION. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity SIGNED BY SUMNER REDSTONE. SIGNED and NUMBERED (this is No. 723 of only 1,100 copies). Redstone also signed the Certificate of Authenticity. So, he signed twice. Sophisticated binding has five raised ridges on spine. Lettering, designs stamped with gorgeous accents of 22kt. gold - a hallmark of fine bookmaking. This beautifully bound genuine leather binding was hand selected from individually tanned hides. Textured and shaded, acid-neutral paper won't turn yellow over time. Pages are Smyth-sewn into binding for permanence (not glued like ordinary books). Endpapers are beautiful satin moiré, specially dyed for the publisher. Edges gilded on three sides to enhance the elegance of each book. Satin ribbon page marker bound in binding. Condition: New, Pristine. Pages crisp and fine. Book not smelly from humidity and dampness, or the smell of a cigarette or cigar smoker. In gift-giving condition. In 1987, businessman Sumner Redstone engineered the astonishing takeover of the conglomerate Viacom. Within a few years, he became one of the world's few true media moguls and his vision helped shape entertainment, business, and life in the new millennium. This book takes the reader from Redstone's youth in Depression era Boston to his high-stakes battles for Viacom, Paramount, and Blockbuster Video (along with the how and why of building his empire). A wonderful, tell-all book. Note: We are a well-established, well-respected, ethical book dealer in business since 1991. We describe the condition of our books thoroughly and honestly, so you'll know exactly what you will be receiving when you order. We ship promptly.. By the Author. First Edition. Leather. Fine.

About R. Siedlecki Vintage Books

We are a well-established, well-respected dealer that is professional, honest, and ethical in our business dealings. We tend to describe each book in a reserved, conservative manner, rather than oversell a book or sidestep the responsibility of addressing its flaws. Book club editions and library books along with books without dustjackets (if they came with dustjackets) are pointed out in our descriptions. We describe our books in detail, pointing out the precise condition of each book based on our opinion. It's your assurance that the book we describe is as close as possible to the book you’ll receive. In business since 1991, we typically have five-star ratings on major web sites.
