No names, clean text. No dust jacket. Superb color & b/w photos! Benevolent capitalism in the Southern Tier, New York State. George F. Johnson, founder, Endicott-Johnson Shoe Corp, Johnson City (originally named Lestershire) and surrounding area. Johnson built parks, hospital, food markets, swimming pools, housing, etc, all for the benefit of his workers. He was much loved in the area, which maintained its economic health throughout the Depression.
