London: Richard T.Bowyer Book. Poor. Cloth. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. No date, but c.1850. Dark green cloth with scrolls and titles in gilt on spine.Cream endpapers. Condition: Poor to fair, covers have been damp to the outer edge at some point, with some raising of cloth to the rear cover. Covers and spine are generally shelfworn with bumping to spine and cover corners. Front hinge has cracked so that the spine is loose from the text, but rear hinge holding firmly.Text not affected. pp.137-140 becoming loose, otherwise binding sound. Previous owners name on fep. 284pp. Engraved frontispiece with tissue guard of a painting by W.Mulready. Includes chapters on the alphabet, bees and astronomy. .
