About This Item
New York: The F.M. Lupton Publishing Company, 1865. This is a Very Good copy of an unknown edition of some of Thackeray's most well-known periodical works. Although the copyright date is 1845, this cannot be correct, as "Notes on a Journey" came out a year after that. A rare omnibus edition, not appearing in standard bibliographies or WorldCat. Quercus speculates that it may be a pirate edition, issued after the author's death in 1863. Dark green ribbed cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine. Clean text; 451 pages. Barely bumped, with pages starting to tan. . Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
