Paris: Editions De La Reunion Des Musees Nationaux, 1988. This is a very good softcover copy in stiff pictorial card covers with almost no wear. Completely clean inside and very clean outside. Spine not creased, binding firm and tight. Text in French. Essay by Laure C.-Starcky. Pierre Van der Meulen was born in Brussels in 1632. By the 1650's he was already an accomplished artist and had formed an ateleir in Brussels. This exhibition surveys a cache of 239 drawings at the Mobilier National and attempts to define Van der Meulen's style and to make comparisons with the other artists in his atelier, all making landscapes, architecture and fortifications of the principal towns of Holland and France. 229 works in the exhibition. All illustrated in black & white with 10 color plates. Bibliography. 9.5" high X 7" wide, 243 pages. . Soft Cover. Very Good.
