Bound handsomely in original publisher's printed, illustrated green paper over boards, measuring 10 1/2" x 13 1/4" wide and tall, respectively. xxvi pp. + bibliography to xlii pp., 1-192 pp. and then 16 black-and-white photographs, quite nice, as well as 12 double-page or leaflet architectural plans, some of which are colored. Sunning to, toning of edges and entirety of spine, bumping to, scuffing of spine head and foot, but a remarkably clean, unmarked interior. Medium blue endpapers, a bit toned and sunned, but not soiled, with a gorgeous black-and-white coat-of-arms at frontis. A fine and compelling social history of Paris and featuring some exquisite photographs of ancient Paris in the Franco-Roman period. French language texts throughout.
