Laid in is an ALS to a previous owner from editor John M. Carroll, dated 8/10/80. On Carroll's personal stationery, referring to an unresolved accusation of fraud between Carroll and a third party, the precise context not clear. Concludes: "You were right. We were taken;" boldly signed by Carroll. Compilation of Order of Indian Wars Annual Proceedings from 1917 to 1941.
