About This Item
Text is clean and unmarked in a tight and square binding. There are several small spots on the fore edge of the text block. Spots are also on the front and back free end papers. DJ is smudged with a rip on the front and a large chip out of the bottom DJ spine. Smaller chips are along the outer edges of the DJ. From the Front DJ flap, "This is the second volume to come from a great scholarly undertaking, the assembly and editing of Benjamin Franklin's complete writings and correspondence. Volume 2 covers the decade 1735-1744, when Franklin was developing his business as printer, publisher, and bookseller, beginning his service as postmaster of Philadelphia, and acquiring an interest in scientific matters."
