First Trade Edition. xvii, 358 pages w/ Index; illustrated b&w plates, including fold-out frontis. INSCRIBED by Dard Hunter on front free endpage showing both his signature and his red ink library stamp. Based upon the 1923 limited edition "Old Papermaking" this work covers the same period but in a more comprehensive manner. Book showing expected page toning at prelims, else a clean, tight copy in the SCARCE original jacket showing some overall general wear and rubbing.. Signed. First Edition. Cloth. Fine/Very Good. Octavo.
