Classic text on the first 20 years of mass market paperbacks in the US, photo-illustrated in b/w/color. Published later the same year as "The Book of Paperbacks" (UK), and as "Paperbacks, U.S.A.: A Graphic History, 1939 - 1959" (US). Very Good in Very Good jacket, slight lean, light foxing, a tiny tear, faint pencil on title page, and jacket with rubbing, fading, a few small chips and tears.
